Zeppelin Group’s acquisition of CP ApS has been completed
After having received clearance by the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority, it is the starting signal for the two companies to begin the integration process and enter the Danish equipment rental market as a single unit. The acquisition makes Zeppelin Rental in Denmark the third largest equipment rental company.
“CP and Zeppelin Rental Denmark’s product portfolio complement each other close to perfectly, so we can offer a complete rental program with very large capacity, and our physical locations around the country are also strengthened,” says a happy Lasse Ludvigsen, General Manager of Zeppelin’s rental business in Denmark who is also appointed as Managing Director of CP ApS.
Lasse Ludvigsen will be supplemented by CP’s COO, Peter Jakobsen and Julie Bruun will leave the company as of now due to maternity leave. For the past 10 years, she has owned and managed CP ApS, which was founded in 1986 by her father, Georg Bruun.
Now the new, CP & Zeppelin Rental will embark on an integration process that includes everything from processes and IT systems to rebranding. Zeppelin Rental Denmark’s current business will be integrated into the current rental activities of CP.
“One of the most important tasks is to gather the employees in the two companies so that we, as a unit, can go out and show the market what we can do. In the coming months, we will slowly get to know each other and get to grips with the formalities. In this way, we get a solid starting point for joining forces and creating positive synergies”, Lasse Ludvigsen elaborates.
The rental offering includes construction equipment of all sizes, a full lift offering, telehandlers, work platforms, crew and office facilities for construction sites, construction site power, light and heating, site layout and operation, storage containers and pavilions.
“It is great for all parties that the deal is now a reality, so the integration of the two companies can begin. I am convinced that it will be an exciting journey where lots of new exciting opportunities will be created for the benefit of both employees and customers,” says Julie Bruun.
The deal was announced on April 12, 2023. In future the rental business of Zeppelin & CP will have a total of 170 employees. CP ApS will be a daughter company of Zeppelin Denmark A/S.
